Preparation for the Zombie Apocalypse

Now that I've survived the end of the world (sitting in the sun in my backyard reading Middlemarch by George Eliot), I figured it was time to prepare for the possibility of a Zombie Apocalypse (like I don't have enough problems? Now I have to prepare for a Zombie Apocalypse!?).

The good anti-zombie people at the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention are thinking ahead and  came up with Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse.

There are many good tips like this one:

Plan your evacuation route. When zombies are hungry they won’t stop until they get food (i.e., brains), which means you need to get out of town fast! Plan where you would go and multiple routes you would take ahead of time so that the flesh eaters don’t have a chance! This is also helpful when natural disasters strike and you have to take shelter fast.

You can get all the info you need to be prepared for the impending Zombie Apocalypse (or any other natural disaster) at this link.

Now to get back outside and catch a few more rays before the zombies arrive - or the more likely rain clouds.

Trust me, we are soooo prepared. Both my son and I have read the bible (AKA The Zombie Survival Guide) cover to cover.

Let's get our crowbar on!

Yes, Talli, once the zombies are here you'll be too busy running for your life to get some sun! Leigh, I guess the CDC knows a good marketing angle when they see one. Yes, cats and dogs getting along - a clear sign of the apocalypse! Glad to hear you're prepared Angela, I'll have to catch up on my zombie reading!

I'm with LTM; how can I get a copy of this dog/cat hug fest? I dearly want to forward it to my 10 yr. old grand girl who has a Jack Russell....she could pass it onto her dad so he can see both species can get along!

So true anonymous! I just found it on the web. If you click on it you should be able to copy and paste it.
